Have some time next week to escape for a few days and wifey can't join in due to kids and other inconveniences like work! Never traveled alone anywhere except for work so I can't think of any other place but the one I am familiar with an enjoy! Already thinking about the Boobs Cruise and meeting up with Steve and Chino but... On our previous trips, I have always seen single guys complaining about being shut out or being avoided. So I am a little concerned since I love to hang out and have fun. Plus how does the room thing work? Any advice would be appreciated. Ed
You are a known person from being on here and you have been to thevresort before so I assume you would know how to act. Go and have fun if the wife says it's okay. A room is a room whether it's one person or two.
Do what makes your family comfortable about you leaving without them. If single guys were shut out or avoided, there was a good reason. Us TTR family don't treat people any way other than we would like to be treated. Hang out and be friendly and know how to respectfully act as you would with or without your spouse. Regarding the room, should you book, let them know that you are the only one (1) occupying the room, they will discount accordingly. Ang
Ed, I just returned from TTR as a married solo person (I was supposed to go to a wedding at a different resort and the wedding was called off) My husband actually suggested that I switch my hotel to TTR since people are so friendly. I had a wonderful time, met lots of people, and I would totally go back by myself again if the situation ever arose. I tried to take the time to get to know people before I went, and walked up to anyone with an orange bracelet on with a huge smile and introduced myself. Sometimes I felt a little awkward walking into Pattyo's by myself whe I didn't see anyone I knew, but after a couple of laps I usually found someone Have fun! If you have any questions let me know. Using all the towels and sleeping in the middle of the bed alone was great! -Danny
Never a problem! Have some drinks and mingle. I've went three times as a single guy and always made great friends. As long as u have good vibes people will be attracted to you like moths to a light. I've heard of guys being avoided and shut down...but those are usually the thirsty dudes thinking a topless resort equals sex central. Reality doesn't change...people are attracted to what and who they like. The gym, hygiene, and social skills are still relevant .
I would have to agree. After sitting on a couple of laps (especially with a short skirt and nothing else) I usually find someone too! Good advice!
