Alex is apparently headed in that direction. You need to make the right decision for you.

Which direction? The weather shows it going to texas and is already away from cancun. Thats why I am confused with some of the post. The radar shows that has moved over cancuna nd now headed to the gulf of mexico which i though was no where near cancun.

Haven't seen the track......but saw that it was 315 miles from Cancun earlier today. You can probably google the Alex Hurricane track and find information. Good luck!

Alex is definitely going AWAY from Cancun. Looking at the 10 day forecast it shows 30% chance of showers (Those occur in the afternoon NO matter what and are spotty). The time period you are going to be there looks perfect. I am a little worried about Sunday on for next week. We leave on Thursday and are not canceling for any reason (We need the break from work/kids!!)

We are going to TTR on July 6 and also looked ahead at the forecast, wich gave a chance for rain. This is our first time to TTR. Where is all the fun going on when it rains. Hope the bad wheather is gone by the time we get there.

I think there is always a chance of rain but it seems to not last long at all. Just a normal summer shower is to be expected everyday but will not ruin anything.

Yeah, we've been to Cancun 6 times in the summer and always that chance in the afternoon for something popping up. Last year we stayed over 4th of July at the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral (wanted to try a hotel rated in the top 10 travel channel caribbean hotels) + had the kids. It rained like 3 out of the 8 evenings we were there. 1st time for the wife and I to go it alone!!! Then we turnaround and go back July 17th to July 25th w/ the kids (Gran Caribe Real) - this year.
My fear is that these storms are at the track of going over the Yucatan (once they get into a pattern they stay on that route for 3 to 4 storms)
