We stayed at GOS in April....Are considering a mini-trip in August with a small window of time we have available. Too bad TTR is not open and available when we are. Trying to decide between going back to GOS or try GP....anyone been to both have any advice? Or other reasonably priced options? Travel agent is suggesting Ocean Maya Royale. Topless is a must, and didnt seem to be a problem at GOS.
Then I believe you've just answered you're own question. It is my understanding that GP has put a STOP to Topless on there premises. Someone posted a few weeks back that they had signs posted everywhere No Topless Sunbathing. Evidently there were a lot of complaints from some of the patrons and they changed there unwritten policy. I don't ever remember seeing them have it officially posted on there website. Sounds like GOS is the ONLY option in Cancun. there are a few other resorts further down the Maya but probably not up your alley.
We went to GP end of feb and GOS beginning of may. Not really close for us, GP was very relaxing if that is what u want. Doubt we ever go back after going to GOS. We had one of the best times we have ever had at GOS. And yes, we have been to TTR many times and are members.

okay, sounds like we may be hitting GOS up before making it back to TTR......time is not flying by.....this has been one long year
Pretty sure we will be at GOS or Ocean Maya Royale. Talked to OMR today and they are topless friendly, but a little more relaxed atmosphere from what reviews report.
We also have looked at ocean maya, but I think the drawback to us,if I remember correctly, was its one of several resorts that use each other's facilities and are connected?
