Hello all! We're new to this site but not to the adult vacation arena. Currently at Desire on our fourth trip and scheduled to transfer over to Temptation in a few days. It will be our first time there and we're having some concerns after talking to some staff here. They told us about the shooting on the beach in the Hotel Zone this past weekend as well as the shooting out side Coco Bongo about a month ago. They also say the shooting on the beach was not the first beach shooting with one happening sometime this past spring break. This has us concerned about safety issues in the Hotel Zone and have us pondering cancelling Temptation and staying here or just going home early if we can't extend. Met some nice people here who suggested we join this forum and get some opinions on how you all deal with the current violence in the Hotel Zone and feeling safe. Thank you in advance for your help. We were looking forward to trying out Temptation but now just don't know. Help.......
No one can make this decision but you guys but I can say that I have never for a minute felt unsafe at Temptation. We will be there Friday to party with about 230 of our friends for Octoberbreast 2017! We stay out of trouble and away from potential triggers for seedy behavior. I'm no more concerned at Temptation then I would be travelling to any large city anywhere. Cheers! Nikki
We've never had any issues either. We have gone up and down the beach many times and spent the better part of an afternoon on Mandala beach.We have also walked from DRM to Pearl and a lot of that is on roads away from the beach. Just be wise in what you do as you would travelling anywhere.
Honestly the beach is so close to the resort and a ton of people I can't see anything sketchy like that happening anywhere near Temptation. They also have security that patrol the beach area at night to keep anyone from just walking into the party. I wouldn't cancel because you'll miss out on a great time and won't be in harm's way on the resort that's for sure.
We have been to Mexico three times this year including Desire, Temptation and a family trip in a house in Akumal. If you feel safe at Desire you should feel safe at Temptation also. We didn't feel any different. And really would not be worried at all. In fact we return to Temptation the first weekend of November. Not only do I feel safe at temptations but I feel safe walking alone on the beach in either direction or traveling to local restaurants, grocery stores, etc

The new Cancun beach style. Save you some money on sunscreen and the errant shark attack. But, seriously, there are dangers anywhere. Like others have posted here and in several other threads it is just as dangerous or even more so in many North American cities. I would actually take my children to Cancun before I took them to London, Paris, Belgium, etc.
Are there some shootings in Cancun, yes and I bet there are just as many back at your home area too. For our self's we don't worry too much about things like this and never felt worried at Tempation or wandering around down town Cancun. Remember your card is going to get pulled at some point and when that happens there nothing you or anyone else is going to do about it. T
If something happens...so be it. Not going to stop living life or be paranoid. Only two things guaranteed in life!
