I need everyones opinion. The wife and I went to TTR for the first time last week and it was the best. I was wondering what is the best time to go at the end of the year. I know about hurricane season I lived in South Palm Beach FL for 15 years and have been threw my share of them. So any and all input would be great.
We usually go in April, but didn't get there this april due to the ash cloud, but have been in sept before and have rebooked for this sept, weather great!!!
We've gone at end of October twice- weather is perfect unless of course mother nature throws a nasty curveball...
We have done 2 x mid/end May trips and 2 x end Aug/ early Sep trips and all has been good. Weather was great...hot and humid but fantastic. The repeater crowd is absolutely awesome during those times too. Those time frames are the 2 lowest price s as well...definitely take trip insurance out for the summer months just in case. Scott
we have always found that besides may the best week to go is the first week of october. have gone then 7 out of 8 past years and always have had perfect weather. not humid and just a little cooler at night. although a few years back, two days after we left is when the big one hit. frank
I agree with Scott we used to go in June but this last year we went in Sept. Was a little warmer then in June but both are very good times to go.
Nice way to end the summer by going in September Last year it was a great way to finish a fairly relaxing summer and start what turned out to be a hectic travel (work) time for me. Looks like we are not going to be able to make it this year Big Joe Work can really interfere with vaca plans sometimes...Hopefully we will get together next year and discuss the Sens over a few glasses of water, lol.
We have been in May and September for the past several years, we love those times!! Best times to go in our opinion. Of course you always have to be on the lookout for hurricanes in Sept. but they have never impacted our trips!! We have also been in October, March and April, all were great but not as good as May and Sept.
Ditto to what they said. We went our first trip in August/Sept and had a great time and met life-long friends. Heading back in Sept this year. Can't wait.
