My neighbour is all excited about the coming of spring. His wife (a birder) is aflutter about the annual bird migration to our hinterland.

A guy I work with is pumped about the just opened Baseball season.

Around our part of the world, the crunch time of the Hockey season is an hourly discussion coupled with the upcoming play-offs (NHL's second season).

For almost all of us it is Tax season.

But when I mention "ya and it is Day 1, of ADDICTS to TTR Season" and rhetorically state, I wonder what thrills this year will bring, I get back blank stares.

Gee my life's a funny thing.

    Happy Addiction season evry1!!!!!

Really Marshe, people from Ontario are that excited about watching other teams in the playoffs?

Yeah, yeah, I know, I have a lot of nerve being a Calgary fan lol

Well now, see, shows you what u know.
At least 1/2 the ppl I know have always been fans of non-Ontario teams.

See, we, center-of-the-world citizens, are a lil more cosmopolltan than you think.
And considering Ontario has always produced the bulk of the best players, we tend to have allegiances all over the NHL. Just look at the crowd in ACC most nights. Half the crowd is wearing the oppositions'sweater.
Heck most of us can play 6 degrees of separation with an NHL superstar, past present or future.
So don't assume most Ontarians cheer for local teams.

For the record my team is in the playoffs. . ..again

And ur team will prolly snap tge Laffs losing streak tonite

My apologies for forgetting how thin skinned you Ontarians are :) Just kidding.

You called it. Dammit. I will say the Flames are entertaing for a losing team. I think they are about 3 good players away from contending. Have to see what they do in the off season.
