Has anyone purchased fresh seafood in this market? It is very convenient if getting on the ferry to Isla Mujeres. Wondering what all they might have - fish, shrimp, pulpo, lobster, etc?

    Also, are their hours "regular".

    Thanks for any input.

Not sure which Seafood Market you are talking about, but if you are heading towards the Ultramar Ferry in Puerto Juarez you will see an EXTRA store on the left hand side. Turn left at the Extra and about 100 yards on the left side is a seafood market called Carribean Gun (if you go past the Pemex, then you went a little too far).
It is a small fish store but they have a lot of items. I went there and bought a 2 kilos of 16/20 shrimp (frozen) for $180 pesos per kilo and 2 kilos of fresh Mahi Mahi for $110 per kilo (they filet them for me). The hours are regular and they close around 5pm each day (not sure if they are open on Sundays). They have all sizes of shrimp, octopus, calamari, lobster tails (Frozen right now - fresh coming soon for the season), Mahi, Grouper, Tilapia, red snapper, and whatever is caught fresh for the day. If you buy fresh fish, make sure to look at the whole fish first to make sure it is very fresh, then let them filet it for you.
