Maybe a stupid question, but how easy do you think it would be for me to get sea-wearable footwear in the hotel zone? I can't find my jelly sandals that are great for protecting feet from standing on anything nasty in the sea, and I leave for the airport in 2 days, so no chance finding anything over here in time.
Honestly not too many people venture into the ocean @ TTR, The beach is nice white sand but the water nestled in between two marinas is not very inviting and weedy in spots. I did buy a nice pair when we went to Xel-Ha which I recommend for a day trip.
Great thanks. I'm planning to catch a bus to visit the nice beaches a few times. I've heard that Playa Delphine is good, and also the one behind the big clubs is meant to be good too. I want to visit the beach over on Isla Mujeres too!
My husband bought water shoes and wore those most of the time, including on the beach. Helped when the hall floors were wet because my sandals were very slippery and he didn't slip at all!
