Alright all, How we doing... Yeah, so I went Cancun last year, stayed at the Gran Caribe... This year im going again and thinking of maybe staying at the ME or maybe the Caribe again.. Has anyone stayed there? Its got good reviews, and looks lovely, but I need some inside info! Is it a good party spot? Im not looking for places like Krystal and Oasis - they are cockfests. Over the years ive found guys tend to book up the "popular" spots like these hotels, whereas the girls dont really follow so much... Im not into watching American gents fist pumping all day long. So what im after is a nice hotel, thats lively, but not to the "obvious" excess of Oasis and Krystal - for the reasons i mention before... I found this pretty much at the Gran Caribe last year... Any locals out there that can help a man out!? Any hotel suggestions are great aswell! Cheers!
Lovely hotel... Its lively, but not a dump like Krystal and the Oasis. Suites are big, food is excellent... If you get Christian at the shot bar on the beach you're laughing. There are kids n families there though.

Yeah when i say kids and families i mean like 5%, its really not a problem. You need to know its not a hotel like Krystal. It isnt a place where youre gonna find wet t shirt contests or a stage like you see at big SB hotels where you get loads of people going nuts. There arent any parties to speak of, at least there wasnt when i was there. Any parties that go on are off the cuff... It just seemed to happen when i was down there. We're not talking hundreds of people either youre talking 20 or 30 max. Its a good thing, it means you get to know the people you're staying with and have a laugh with them, you meet loads of like minded people and it isnt planned. You just find yourself chatting to a few people then suddenly your banging shots and its hilarious. I find the organised parties utter bullshit anyway mate, they are all cockfests. Its a wicked hotel, I met loads of great people there that are good friends now. Its also got a good ratio of guys to girls unlike all the big SB spots.
its almsot adults only.. i stayed last year in april.. not much of a "party" like college parties, but very relaxed elegant feel.. there were lots of women there.. its classy. the weekends its pretty busy. id stay there, but go to teh clubs around 11-midnight..
Thanks Princess, OK so a few people have said go for ME... I think I might, i just have one question, as its quite expensive do you think this will put off alot of people?
