I know I dont ask for much around here, but if you could take a second a say a little prayer for someone so dear in my life. Recently, my golden retriever, Maggie has been under the weather (not eating very much, not very active etc.) and most recently has been losing a noticeable amount of weight. This morning, I took her to the vet to get her checked up on, and at the end of the day left with the most heart breaking news I've had in years, Maggie has been diagnosed with cancer. After alot of talking within the family, we decided that the best thing do to is to put her down. We are planning on doing this Saturday, giving us a little more time to spend with her. She does not deserve to be in any state of discomfort or pain after the years of love she has shown my family. I love you Maggie, and I'm going to miss you.
What a cutie! That sucks, Fletch. I have just gotten my first pets (2 kitties) within the last year. I do not want to imagine the day I may be forced with this, as they grow older and possibly have health problems. Hugs and prayers to you!
Our thoughts & prayers are with you. It is a hard thing to do. Dogs are truly man's best friend. We lost our five year-old golden retriever last fall to cancer. Marsh
dude, as you might or might not know, I am a HUGE animal lover. I know what kind of impact a pet can make. they become part of your family. But believe me, you are doing the right thing. you dont want to see her in pain. my first dog Maxx died when I wasnt home. and it still sucks when I think that I wasnt there for him when it happened. just make her as comfortable as you can. Dogs should totally have a longer life span!!

FLETCH MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOU. I`M SITTING HERE CRYING RIGHT NOW.I HAD TO DO THE SAME THING TWICE NOW. I KNOW IT`S NOT EASY AT ALLBUT JUST REMEMBER YOU DON`T WANT THEM TO SUFFER. I KNOW THAT DOESN`T HELP MUCH RIGHT NOW.MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
