My wife and I will be visiting Playa del Carmen very soon!

We would like to learn about affordable fun things to do around the area.

We are both in our early 30s, out-going, friendly, love to explore and try new things.

    Things we really like:
    Snorkeling
    Horseback riding
    Seeing Animals
    Seeing Nature
    Seeing Ruins

We also love food and desserts... especially desserts....!!!

We thought about doing one day or half day trip. We also want to go snorkeling off Cozumel as well.

Another thing we want to do is see local vendors (not knock-off crap... we can get that here in NYC) and local artisans.

If you know of affordable things or how to find discounts let us know... We do not want to blow a million dollars and want to get more bang out of our buck.

I saw it is better to pay in pesos... how much should we bring for four days... we are also in an all inclusive resort! Feel free to message me.

Again we are going soon.... very soon... kind of a spur of the moment trip!

    Kenn

Probably the most affordable fun thing we did last time we went was going to Isla Mujeres. Take the bus to puerto juarez ( I think about 70 cents each ) Then catch the ferry to the island ( that was around $7.00 us each round trip)
Once your on the island you can set your own pace, there are plenty of things to see and do. You can go through the vendors market, check out the zip lines along the coast, enjoy the beach and some snorkeling. Go to one of the many restaurants. There are also some historical sites to see on the island.
My wife and I are really looking forward to going back there (only a few days to go!). One of our favorite things to do was go to the north shore and look for sea glass! It might not be everyone's cup of tea but we enjoyed it and got a few free souvenirs from our trip. Try to devote a entire day to the island, you wont be disappointed.
