We are due to fly in Friday. I have no interest in purchasing a time share. Is there any perks to spending the two hours at check in? Upgrades? Free dinner? Premium drinks? Room upgrade? Jim and Kelly
In our opinion, no. I think they've offered up to $200, and also a free 1 or 2 night upgrade to Desire, but we didn't do it. We value our vacation time too much to sit through a high pressure sales pitch. If you are at all interested in purchasing the timeshare, then it's a different story.
If you didn't use a referral week from a member (where you would have to do the pitch), then it is my understanding that they just try to give you mugs and/or tee-shirts. I haven't heard of anyone getting the member benefits out of it, unless it is a referral week.
Would a room upgrade be worth it? We sat though a time share "harassment" once for a free room in Orlando. It was not worth it. When they finally decided we really meant no thank you, we were rudely escorted out the back door. Tom and Nancy
100 coupon for spa,,,, you can probably ask for whatever,,,, better off to do a stay then ( next time ) if your are interested do a referral week, and that way you have a better chance at a better room and the perks for the week , wether or not you by in.
in our opinion it's a waste, they say it takes an hour.....no, it takes two. What a waste, tell them no, stick to your guns and really enjoy your vacation
If you are truly uninterested in purchasing a membership, don't bother with the presentation. It will take your time away from the sun, sea, sand and good fun. We went and purchased. We didn't fall for the "you must decide now pitch" we gave ourselves a few days and checked out a few things during our free time. It was a benefit for us at the time and we are still enjoying a price difference in our favour. Check it all out before signing on the dotted line and handing over your hard earned money.
I give them one polite "No thank you" once we check in...then I just walk away from them. Since we have zero interest in becoming Premier Members, it would just waste their time...and more importantly, ours. The only perks that we value are already included with our stay - the people, the Sexy Pool and Paty'Os...and plenty of beer and booze choices to lubricate us for our stay.
