    Hi:0)

    Have hopes to visit Chichen Itza during my mid-December visit (first-time visit to Temptation Cancun). Is round-trip transportation easily accesssible from the resort?

    your travel company should have a contact person at the resort a few hours a day. or just ask any one of the activity staff to point ya in the right direction. they know their job very well and will give ya some safe advice. i would wait to book any side trips until ya arrive to factor in the weather and what is going on around the resort.

    Just so you know this is an all day trip. 3 hour bus ride to and back home. Well worth the money and well worth the time. Not the adventure it was when you could climb to the top of the pyramid but still very educational. Have fun and take lots of pictures.

    Plenty of availability. Hotel prices are more than booking online though.

    For a flexible cancellation policy and the best price check out the link below;

    As much as I love history - I really, really wish we had not gone on this trip.

    We did the VIP tour. Awful. Supposed 2 hour each way - was actually nearer 4 after pickups to other hotels, in an aging minibus with no air-con. Had lost will to live by time we got there, and was dying of thirst. There were drinks on board, which the driver failed to mention to us. He never spoke a word at any point - not even hello.

    We were told pick-up was 7.45 in morning - so outside hotel bright and early. Bus arrived at 8.20. Good start! Actual time at Chitzen Itsa was about 1 and a half. Yes - it was amazing, but never worth the travelling involved. Arrived back at 8pm, totally exhausted.

    Would not recommend to anyone.

    Who did you book through?

    I agree it's a very long way, down a very straight road and there's not much to see on route. You do need to be comfortable to properly enjoy it.
