Ok so hopefully last question!! We are ready to book our trip for April! We're wondering if we should upgrade to ocean view/jacuzzi is it worth it? I do like to wake up and see the ocean, also hear the waves. I also know I won't be in my room much either. I was disappointed last time we went to Jamaica and woke up to see a grassy field and fence. So what's everyone's opinion on this...thanks!!
Get the jacuzzi suite ... don't go for drops of love. Invite friends over and hang in the tub. it's well worth the extra 140$/week OH YAH .... FYI PUT TOWELS DOWN ON THE FLOOR WHILE IN HOT TUB ... it gets slippery my face can attest to that
Jacuzzi rooms are great, and if you are going at a really busy time, you my want to secure the availability. Ocean front suites are way overpriced, and the beach there does not have large waves to listen to. It is not worth the $$ there! Ocean view is a gamble, and you get what is available when you arrive. Over by the sexy pool is best for ocean view, anywhere else is a very limited view.
The jacuzzi rooms have our vote also. Ocean view at TTR is way overpriced and overrated. Besides, it's a lot easier to make new friends when your sitting in your jacuzzi topless with a cold one in your hand. Everybody will eventually walk by your jacuzzi room. LOL
It all depends on the $$ you want to spend-if money is no issue then I would get the jacuzzi suite. We went to Disney 2 months before so we did not book an ocean view or jacuzzi room. We totally lucked out and we were above the quiet pool with a kick ass ocean view!!!

You can see what the suites look like and the view, and judge for yourself if it is worth it. Facebook Honestly, after 4 visits, we think it is best to just book the cheapest room and then order Drops of Love through the resort. That package gives you an upgrade to a jacuzzi room or Temptation suite, whatever is available, and it is going to cost about $100 per night more than the cheapest room. To upgrade to a jacuzzi room would be about $50 per night and that is all you get, but the Drops of Love upgrade gives you a couples massage, a concierge to make dinner reservations, a private aromatherapy bath in your jacuzzi, and a private steak/lobster dinner in your room (patio) or on the beach - and a dozen roses in a vase for your room and desserts on a plate delivered daily. The best value is if you can get the Temptation Suite, but they are not always available. However, you can split your visit and change rooms if they have a suite available for part of your stay, at least. Upgrading to a Temptation Suite with Drops of Love is cheaper than booking the suite directly, that's why it is a way better deal to get the suite with Drops of Love.
we just got back (love TTR!) and agree with a lot of folks - save the $ on ocean view. we upgraded and during day light you spend no time n the room. and jacuzzi room? lets just say more than a couple of people save d the $ and used the sports pool for all kinds of jacuzzi fun after mid nite
With you on that save the $$ and use the sports pool! We did the ocean view and only had a small ocen view but to us worth it. The sports pool was the spot to be late. We went in Aug last year and good amount of naked swimmers enjoying in late into the night and morning!!!!
