If you are light sleepers, you do not want rooms around the Paty'O Bar. I think it is building 2. Those rooms are the most convenient but also the most noisy until about 5am. Some people love those rooms - I'm not one of them. I would rather walk farther to a quiet room when it's time to sleep.

The rooms around the quiet pool are nice. Some have ocean views and the rooms on the ground floor around the pool are jacuzzi rooms.

The rooms by the sexy pool would be cool, too. It doesn't get loud there until later in the morning so you'd be close to fun during the day and a nice quiet place to rest in the evening.

The first year we went we stayed in the building where the balconies overlook the street. That part sucked. However, in order to access our room the stairs were outside and we had a large balcony across the top floor that ran the length of the building. So we used that as our balcony.

The second time we went we had a room overlooking the quiet pool. Great location but our room was right over the Italian restaurant and our room was hot and muggy the entire trip. We think it was due to being above the kitchen of the restaurant.

So, I'd suggest actually checking out the room first before making your final decision (they let you do that). At least you have an idea now. Also, search the forum for the map of the resort. There's been a couple of threads that have a copy of it posted. That'll help you get the layout of the resort before going, too.

Sometimes there isn't much choice on rooms especially if a lot of people are arriving that day. If you are not happy with the room you are given, you can ask to change. It may take a day or so for something to become available but the front desk staff are great and will try to accommodate you. As for the rooms around PaddyO's, we love them. Of course we are some of the ones making noise at 3 am. Let's party!!!!!!!

we spent 10 or 11 days in room 2222 over looking Patyo and because we do stay up late it really was fine but, let me tell you.. if you have to stay in one night for any reason.. maybe burt out or need a night off or are sick.. you will hate thoes rooms.. because its like having your bed in the middle of patios... lol and you cant hear yourself think if the DJ is playing .. haha!! we moved our room after the 10 or 11th nights as far far away as we could.. haha!!

We just got back and we were first put in a room with a crap view and far away from everything. The room we moved to was awesome! Had a decent view and down over one flight of stairs and we were in to paty-o's. If you are a partier request a room on the 2202-2208 side...Decent view and close to everything. When we were there the DJ or band at paty-o's were done by 1:30 so it wasn't too bad for noise after that, I don't think.
