last week on arrival 10:30 AM we new check in wasn't until 3 We checked in at front desk to get our wrist bands. We were told to leave our luggage and they would come find us at 3:30 No big deal, I knew this would be the case. However I did want to make sure we got rooms in a quite area, so I told the clerk my request, and slipped her $10 We grabbed our trunks and went to change, by the time we got done changing she had flagged me down and said our rooms were ready. The bell boy took us up to ocean front rooms.. One of the rooms had pillow top mattresses, the other had very firm ones (rock hard) So if you like soft beds ask for room 1314, I also notice 1316 looked like pillow top beds as well. Rooms were cleaned and stocked well everyday, we did leave $3/day tip Staff is second to non at this hotel, and deserves every penny when it comes to tips. Also rooms were missing safe's, but one call to front desk and we had them in 10 min. Also no problems with them, opened them 100+ times over a week.
Are there alot of rooms with two double beds? Is it a problem getting one lare bed, we are not going to temptations to sleep apart.
I don't think its a problem, I noticed a lot of first floor rooms had king beds. The rooms with double beds 1314 had brand new queen size pillow top beds, Hard to beat over a rock hard king. I am sure if you offer a good tip, and ask for a new king bed they will accommodate you. We tipped our bartenders $10-15/day that got us top shelf booze, and we never waited in line for drinks. On the last day our favorite staff got $20 tips, We saw a lot of people that didn't tip period.
We won't be doing much sleeping anyway - Of course it is more fun in one bed - but being brits what you call double is our king size. Would struggle to get five fireman and us on one though
