Hi Trying to decide what room type to book and need some advice please. Is the ocean view worth the extra $$$ We are staying 11 nights and it's about $600 more for the ocean view room. Anyone know if i book through an online agent and get there is the hotel will let me upgrade if we dint life the garden view?
You can negioate a room upgrade on check-in, as long as there is availability. Personally, I would waste my money....you are hardly ever in the room. Nikki
If an ungraded room is available when you check in then they will put you in it for the same price if you ask.
The ocean view upgrade at Temptation is the worst money you'll ever spend. The ocean sucks balls there, just pay for Garden View, save yourself $600.
We did the jacuzzi room uograde, because it guarantees you don't get a crappy location that some of the 5000 block have. Worth the money in my mind. Jacuzzi was nice at night a couple times too.
We are members with garden view. The view (not that we look out the window much) is pretty and green. Also has easy access to the quiet pool which is perfect for late night skinny dips.
You'll spend most of the day, evening and night outside. The only time we were in the room was to sleep or get freaky, and usually that was drunk, so the view from the room never really mattered. As one person said, if you upgrade you'll be away from the more loud rooms...
My room last week faced the road and it didn't make a difference to us. I would not pay considerably more for a view. As others have said, you don't spend a lot of time there.
Just reitterating that you'll be shocked how little time you spend in your room. I'm sure some people care about it, but our ocean view probably looked the same as the street view at night. I personally wouldn't pay extra for it. Go garden view and ask for a "quiet" room if you want one. They'll try to make you happy.
