Okay, so we are looking to book our first trip and have NO clue about the different room types. What is the difference between a double/twin room and the King/double room???

    And what is crown club???

Never heard of crown club before... But there are 3 types of rooms... Garden view, ocean view, and jacuzzi suite. Then, there are rooms in each level with 1 or 2 beds.

Ocean view gets you a better view, and typically better access to the events (A shorter drunken stumble home)...

Don't worry about what types of room, as even if you request a specific type you may not get it. This trip we requested a king bed in a quiet area. When we got there we were offered a 2 bedded room in a quite area, or a king in a noisy area.
Make your choice when you get there.

You might as well book the cheapest room available. I think you randomly get put in a room unless you book the Jacuzzi sweet.

There really isn't much difference in the basic rooms other than location and bed size. Some seem to have nicer showers or better lay outs but we never spent enough time in our room to care. The only time we ever asked to change rooms was one that over looked the street and was so far away from everything that it almost felt like we were staying at a different resort.
If you do have an issue with the room you end up in the staff at the front desk are usually pretty good at getting you a new one (as long as there is one available).

I agree, you'll only be in the room to sleep. Temptation is all about the party and people.
