Looking for recomendations on how to get a room on the quiet side of the resort. I realized after our last trip (which was our first by the way) that we both require some down time each day and a place to escape is important. You know, party our ass off for 8 hours, rest and relax for 2, rinse and repeat! I would not mind paying some extra to guarantee a good room, but not sure how to go about that process and also which rooms to ask for. I called the hotel and they wanted $190 extra per night for a pool view room? Kind of crazy I thought. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the help!
We will usually just ask for whatever room we want when we are checking in. If its available they will usually give it to us.(or at least in the same building) Of course I assume this wouldn't work with the hot tub rooms, but we havent tried to get those. Ill always tip them like $10 or $20 for their help. Oh, we like the rooms above Paty Os which are not quiet at all (probably loudest in the resort) If you are looking for rooms on the quiet side these are in the 5000s. They are out of the way of all the noise.
Thanks for the help. How the hell do you sleep? lol. Thats where our room was and I thought the mirror was going to fall off the wall...so I just went down and joined the party!
Love those rooms Carlos&Jess. Hahaha. I just bring ear plugs for naps.. I'm usually up when the craziness is going on. Just ask the front desk like said above. They are, typically, very accommodating.
We just came back from our firts trip and we were like you wanted a place to chill when we wanted to. When we booked we requested a room on the 2nd floor quite side. When we arrived we were give room 1203 which was PERFECT for us. It was at the end of the quite pool and had a small view of the ocean. Made it nice to have a place to get some rest and the balcony was perfect spot for a balcony show late in the day or night!!!!
We like the rooms in the 5500 block. Right around the corner from the Sexy Pool infront of the hammocks and beach volleyball area. It's quiet, but close to all the action.
Room by Paty O is both a blessing and a curse. If you're there more than 5 days, then it can get a bit much. On the days I was partying late into the night it was fantastic because I was close to the room and could use my own bathroom. You're also so close to everything - about 1 minute away from Nice Shoes, Alternative bar, reception, buffet, other restaurants, pools etc. On the other hand, you don't get a minutes peace. There's noise coming past all day and night so you never get that magic quiet time if you crash and need a sleep. I've decided that next trip I'm still going to ask for a ground floor room, and if I get Paty O again I'm not going to argue. The benefits outweigh the negatives. I found last time I'd party most nights, get as much of a fitful sleep as I could on the nights I needed to crash, and then have a lovely quiet nap on a bed on the beach or in a lounger between the hours of 6am - 11am. Nothing better than a sleep in the fresh air with the sun shining and the lovely early morning Cancun breeze!
We're with Crystella, block 5 suits us, well away from the noise (depending on your neighbours anyway ;-) ), but close enough to all the fun. If you're lucky you can get a great seaview room too Good luck
