Hi all. we are headed to TTR for the first time in December. we booked through an online travel company that we have used several times in the past. My question is in regards to room location and more importantly style. We were not able to request a room with king bed at the time of booking. has anyone run in to this before? Do you know what we can do to make that request prior to check in? Thanks for the help!
It doesn't seem to matter what when or how you request a room, you are not guaranteed to get what you ask for. We always request a quiet room with a king bed, but when we check in we usually have to choose between the "quiet" or the "king! If you don't get the room you want on the first night, they are pretty accommodating and will move you if you request it. So, don't sweat it, just ask when you check in and see what they've got on the day. It's likely to be quite quiet in December (compared to April for example which is often overbooked), so I'd say you're quite likely to get what you ask for. :daisy:
About 2 weeks before you arrive you can use the express check in page that the resort has (Cancun Adult Only All Inclusive, Adult Resort Cancun - Temptation Resorts) No guarantees that will work but they will have your information and request on file. Many of the rooms have a king bed in them so I wouldn't get too worked up over it. You'd have at least a 50/50 chance in my opinion.
the rooms all have different styles and each has their benefits. rooms by the volley ball courts have the big 2-headed showers which is a plus. 1st floor rooms usually have a great balcony for lounging around in and seem bigger, rooms by quiet pool have balcony walls, not rails, so people (staff) cannot see into balcony and you have a little more privacy, rooms by patyo's are noisy...all nite. I don't mind the noise but I hate trying to sleep when I know I could by out there.
Pretty much ...you get what you get. Then, if you don't like it, go back and try again. There's doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the reservation. Only difference I see that you pay for is a "regular" vs. "oceanview" or jacuzzi.
We spend very little time in room. I do ask for first floor because I do not like stairs when drinking to much tequlia!
Awesome! thanks for all the quick and useful answers. I guess will just roll the dice when we get there. If we dont get one we like then I can let Michelle roll out her inner Diva and get us what we need.
keep in mind that Los Cabos (Temptations) just changed from "adult only" to family friendly!!! I know...wtf!!! I know several December TTRs that will now go to Cancun for their yearly December trip.
