So we have only been to TTR once and don't know any different about this, but our first time there we were given a room on the ground floor right behind the DJ booth at Paty-Os. Yes, the noise was loud but it was ok because it hid the noises coming from inside the room. Plus, we could just go there fire the restroom while having fun at Paty-Os. And, it was convenient for grabbing some of those burgers.
We are now booked for our great return in October and I'm wondering, since we liked that room, should we request the same? Or are the other rooms better for any other reason? The only other rooms we saw were the hot tub rooms and that's just not in our budget right now.

We've been to TTR 4 times now (5th time coming up in May) and have always stayed in the rooms around PatyO's, for many of the reasons you have mentioned. Plus there's one section where you can get some great views of the ocean and Sexy Pool (without paying for an upgraded room normally).

Our first room we could walk out the back and to the sexy pool. We loved it.

Just depends what you like, we like quiet at night to sleep and we always look for the 5000 section. We also hate stairs when stumbling back drunk lol, so request lower levels. I wouldn't be able to stand the smell from being so close to the PatyOs grill. Last trip they put us in a room above Margueritas and from the moment we walked in all I could smell was deep fryers. Got moved the next day

Our room was facing away from all the action, which was peaceful. But at times I wanted there to be more traffic to enhance the "vibe".

Six trips, I've had a room that wasn't outside Paty O's once, and it was terrible. Having to use the washroom like everyone else, having to do the walk of shame in theme wear to Paty O every night, making the husband go back to the room when we'd forgotten something. It's all so convenient when your room is at Paty O. I fall over a lot more when I have to walk back to the room at night too!

The noise doesn't bother me. It's like an alarm clock, when it's loud I know it's time to party. About the only positive of a room further away, I found it easier to sleep in the afternoon if I needed to. With rooms around Paty O I find it impossible to sleep most of the time. I'm too nosy, if I hear noise, I want to investigate!

I was going to ask you about that... seeing as I'm going by myself this year, I figured it would be better to just get a room right there on Paty O. Since I'm usually up till all you noisy people go to bed anyway ;) I can just stagger a few feet to my room. :lotsofmichaelfs:

It's not too noisy to sleep in mornings? That's my only worry...

I've never had trouble sleeping in the mornings. I know other people find the service trolleys and people walking past to the breakfast buffet loud, I've not noticed.

One point to note, they start playing music at Paty O from around 4 or 5pm. I find that more annoying than noise in the morning, or the really loud noise at night. It's that repetitive dance backing track played over and over again. Still worth it, but definitely annoying.

We had a ground floor room by quiet pool - it was perfect for us. Not too far to the action, but still quite for sleeping....

So we are getting a upgraded room since we booked thru RCI, where are they gonna put us and where should we ask to go? If it has a oceanview I would want to go high, yeah the stairs will be Sh!t after drinking all day but I want the view.
