So all you experienced visitors....whats the difference in the rooms? We're thinking we want a jacuzzi room but hard to tell what that really gets you. How about some feedback on room types and some stories of experiences that were either good or bad relating to the room. Doubt we'll spend much time in the room but that will be where the big fun happens! :wink3:
Welcome to the Board !! If U like ur sleep..Stay alway from the room starting with 2! They are around the O'Paty Bar!!
we had room 1113 over looking the quiet pool, great view of the sunrise and far enough away from the music at patyo's in the eveningf you like to nap/sleep.
We was in 1325 last feb and it was perfect distance from paty-o's sexy pool we can wait to get back this feb coming :uk1:
Stacia & I have had all the varieties of room quality, I think. Temptation Suite, Jacuzzi Room, Ocean View Jr. Suite (did you know that a "Jr. Suite = a hotel room? Damndest thing...), and a Garden View Jr. Suite. Our favorite of all the room "layouts" was the Garden View Jr. Suite we got, our very first trip to TTR, right when it was changing over to TTR. Lots of lines of sight to the places nakedness happens, no door on the toilet room (weird, but freaky), a double-headed rainfal shower big enough for the VIP section on the Boobs Cruise to clean up together, and mirrors everywhere except the cieling. Last couple of times we've had a Jacuzzi room and we're yet to run a drop of water into it. I mean, the pool is right there, and we've got a hot tub at home, so.... The Temptation Suite was a true "suite," with two full-size rooms, one the big bedroom area, leading out to a monstrous balcony, and the other a huge bathroom with a whirlpool/jacuzzi tub inside with rainfall showerhead above. It was all right, but ... since most of the fun is out at the pool, down on the beach or at the bars, when you get back to the room all of the rooms have what you need, i.e. places to have sex, meaning a bed, a shower, a balcony, walls, floors... you get the picture.
Here is a collection of pictures of various rooms over our three visits: Facebook After all that, our next trip we booked a regular room. Some resorts have really nice upgraded rooms that are well worth negotiating for, especially when you plan to spend a lot of time in the room. TTR is just not that kind of place, and paying in advance for a "better" room, in our opinion, is just not worth it. The jacuzzi room is no different than a deluxe room, except the patio has a jacuzzi (that we only used once, and only to psychologically justify paying for it). If you are going to Cancun to spend a lot of time in your room alone, go to a luxury hotel and get a great room with lots of service and amenities. Going to TTR is about the party and hanging out mostly out of the room, or once you are in the room it won't matter what kind of room you have. The Temptation Suites are nice, but not essential and definitely NOT worth the full price. IF you have a problem in your regular room that is the resort's fault, ask to be upgraded and you'll enjoy it for the same price! Otherwise, not enough ROI - again, our opinion after three visits (and I am a sucker for the best room, trust me!!) The only thing we are going to ask for is to not be by Paty O's (too loud), and also to have a room that has a door for the bathroom - that is worth asking for! (and the cost is the same)
Great feedback! Thanks! How about garden view vs. ocean view? Thinking maybe we add a day and go with the basic room. Just dont want to be stuck with two doubles. King bed is a must for all sorts of reasons!
This is a fantastic post, thank you very much for sharing. I dont think a ground floor Jacuzzi suite is something we will do this trip, most people dont even use the one outside from all of our research. The extra costs are also not worth it in our opinion. I do like the idea of a second floor room with an ocean view. What is that type of room called?
We don't think ocean view is worth the extra $$. As others have noted before, "Ocean View" means that from somewhere on your balcony, possibly requiring you to lean over the railing, you can see at least a sliver of ocean. I always insisted on ocean view rooms when we did beach vacations before we found TTR, but at TTR we're more interested in the room being dark (they are) and relatively quiet. I see the ocean all day from the sexy pool.
