So I know neither of these hotels are really highly regarded, but me and a group of guys and girls (mid-late 20s) are looking for a great atmosphere. From what I can find, Riu Caribe is nicer with a decent crowd and Grand Oasis is a bit less nice with a great crowd. Is this accurate? And would anyone like to give suggestions as to which one we should choose and why? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Riu Caribe is nicer, but it is also family-oriented. If I were you I would choose Grand Oasis. Definitely a crowd of your peers. It may not be as nice, but it is still good and really, how much time do you spend in the rooms anyway?

Got back from the riu caribe two weeks ago, the resort was very nice and the atmosphere wasnt really family oriented, things got a little crazy at the swim up bar on quite a few occasions. The restaurants were surprisingly very good with the steak house being far and away the best of the bunch. I say riu caribe over the oasis any day of the week
