I did scan the forum for info on how to make restaurant reservations in advance of getting to the resort but did not come up with anything recent so here I am asking. Does anyone know how to make dinner reservations at restaurants before getting to the resort? I did call the concierge desk and was told that we have to be there to make reservations. I explained that we were concerned about availability due to the fact that we get in Sunday and are only there for 3 nights. I was transferred to someone else but the phone just kept ringing and was never answered. Is there a path to getting early reservations? Thank you in advance!
Unless you are a member on really good terms with a butler, I don't foresee any chance of getting reservations in advance.
The only restaurants that you would need to make reservations for is SHE and to sit at the hibachi table in Sutra, all others are first come first serve (unless you have a very large group, then you can make a reservation at the others)
When we were there in June we had to make reservations for each restaurant each night. We made all our reservations at check in with our butler and had no issues.
The last couple times we were there you made reservations during the day for that evening. I don't remember what time reservations opened, I think they opened pretty early in the AM (before we wanted to get up) a couple years ago, but seems like they changed them to a bit later in the day more recently. So you don't have to worry about getting reservations before you arrive.
I want to say around 11:00 was when they were taking reservations in the lobby. Lineup started a bit earlier. We party too hard and barely make it down…. After 6 trips we have not done the hibatchi.
Making reservations in advance is a smart move, especially for a short stay! It's unfortunate that the concierge couldn't assist. You might want to try reaching out to the specific restaurants you're interested in directly. Many places have their contact information online, and they may allow early reservations.
And if you ever need suggestions for dining options, you could also explore an Irish cafe to enjoy a meal with unique flavors during your stay.
