Will they take restaurant reservations over the phone like a week prior to your arrival at the resort?
Simple answer, NO! You have to make your reservations, for up to four days at a time, in person. This may be different for members. You may not be able to get your preferred times/days for each restaurant. I was able to make reservations for all four days in a row and then we did manage to get seated on our first, second, and seventh nights without reservations by just asking if there were any openings. I really didn't find it difficult at all. We didn't eat even one dinner at the buffet during our week there. By far the Italian restaurant is best followed by the Asian one, in my opinion.
I would say NO to this but have never tried calling. Here is what they allowed in January. You had to go sit in line, wait your turn, then make any reservations you could for the next 4 days. It seemed to work ok but it still sucks to be making dinner plans when the sun is out and the bar is open.
I will give it a try the week before we leave. My birthday is the first night there and hers is the third night we are there, so it would be nice to have reservations. :ernaehrung015:
