I am hoping to book a 12-14 day vacation to an all-inclusive resort this December. It would be best to fly from Montreal or Ottawa and depart on December 14 or later. My dates are flexible but I have to be back no later than January 3. I am a single dad and will be taking my 17-year old daughter along. I would prefer a resort with more singles, friends' groups, and less families. Alternatively, a larger family resort with adults-only areas would be a good option. I would like to keep the total cost below 6k if possible, or at least close to it. Would my 17-year be allowed to stay at any adult-only resorts? Failing that, I am looking for recommendations of nice social resorts that are more singles / friends oriented and have multiple activities and a good nightlife. I would be grateful for some recommendations because it seems difficult to decide what resorts would best fit that description. Obviously Cancun would be one of my first choices (hence, posting here). That said, location is not a dealbreaker and I would be happy and willing to go to other parts of Mexico, the DR, or another beach-like location. I appreciate any suggestions. For a 2-week stay, I suppose $$ could be the tricky part. If necessary, I could reduce the length of the trip to 10-12 days but I'd prefer 14! THANKS,
Adult only resorts are generally 18+, although some are 21+ I would suggest looking at the Riu chain; Riu Las Americas, Riu Palace or Riu Caribe. They are usually lively, good facilities attracting a range of ages including families.
