Hey, when we were there in May (our first time...) occupancy was so low that the buffet was closed for dinner, and you could walk right in to any restaurant. We're going back in a couple weeks, and I'm expecting that we'll need reservations for the sit-down restaurants. Can someone tell me how the reservations are made, and how far ahead you can make them? Just curious...
Current reservation deal! Just came back on 11/15/09 and the buffet was open for dinner nightly. Reservations can be made in the Bellavista for the next 4 evenings between 10am til 12 noon. It took about an hour waiting. You can book the same restaurant more than once. Previously, you could only book each restaurant once. So if you are going to be there for more than 4 nights, you would have to get in line again!
Tere is absolutely correct. my advice show up to bellavista about 20 minutes early I did and I BIG hint. if you want to get all 4 restaurants tell them you want all 4 at the earliest time in any order between 6 and 7 no later than 7 reservations. Each restaurant took about 2 hours to complete a 5 course dinner. so if you want to see the entertainment and possibly head out with the group at 10:30. well you get my point. enjoy the delicious food. PS at the aisian restaurant try both the tempura ice cream and the tempura bananas yummmmm
Does any recent visitor know if the Italian restaurant is now closed again on Wednesdays? The concensus is that it is the best one and it's Marlene's bday on that Wednesday so I was hoping to go there. Any recommendations on which one is the next best? Thanks!!! Also, any other Temptation bday ideas/stories would be appreciated. Less than 3 weeks to go!!!!!!!!
asian I like all the restaurants, yes the italian is good, but i like the asian its smaller and a fantastic view of the ocean...
Schedule? Are some restaurants closed some days while others are open on other days? Does someone have an updated schedule for the restaurant days?
it depends I tink it depends how busy the resort is , last year each speciality restaurant closed 1 night, I assume so all the staff got a day off..
Great info! It will be a change making reservations this time, but we're only there four nights, so we'll only have to wait in line once! Any advice for the first day we get there? I know we won't get to the resort till at least 2:00... Are we stuck with the buffet for that night, or do they usually allow you to make a late reservation? We get there on a Thursday, which I also think is lingerie Night, so we wouldn't want to be eating too late!
DEPENDS you can sometimes get in if you go to the restaurant when they first open and ask pretty please or they might tell you a later time but normally that will be 9.30pm.. the buffet is nice though and I think some nights the magaritas doesnt need reservations??
