Cancun's only stray dog rescue operation, RAP, has several dogs that are ready for adoption and need to be transported to New York City where we have volunteers waiting to take them. What we need is someone who is flying from Cancun to NYC sometime in July or August and who is willing to escort one or more dogs. The dogs will go in cargo, in kennels, but someone needs to be on the plane while they are on it. American Airlines has direct flights to NYC, and they have early morning flights, which are best for the dogs (it's not as hot). So it would be ideal to find someone who is already booked with American to NYC. If anyone here will be traveling to NYC from Cancun in July or August and would be willing to be a rescue dog escort please let me know! Thanks for helping us rescue Cancun's street dogs!! Thanks for the bump! We have an on-going need for dog escorts from Cancun to several US locations (Denver, Florida, New York and Minneapolis is the current list). We've got dogs here ready to go and people in those places ready to take them. We just need escorts to fly on the plane with the dogs.
I'll inquire in February when we are planning to be in Cancun. We live in the Minneapolis area and would gladly help you out then. Wish I could take a vacation now and bring that dog to MN.
Dog to Denver Hi River Girl. Faith and I will be down in November. We would consider escorting a pooch. One stipulation. Faith will NOT be keeping it. :lol: We love our 2 dogs but that's enuf. Jimmy
