Being a newbie to TTR, I have to ask if it is a requirement to dress the theme each night to get into Paty O's like on Lingerie night or any other night? Basically if you arent dressed in the the theme of the night are you allowed into the party??
Not at all. Paty O's is an outdoor bar for mingling, drinking, and partying. Lingerie Night is held in Nice Shoes and you would have to dress the part to get in.
I would encourage you to participate in the themes because it adds to the excitement of the evening. Participation will also clue you in on who the other CCC members are. And we are all friends.
I tripped over a thread a couple days ago that talked about CCC members gathering near the little pool island by the Sexy Pool bar at 4pm every day. That would be a very good ice breaker for both first-timers and the rest of us too ! Another thing is we can NEVER FIND THE NICE SHOES BAR without walking around the general vicinity -- up and down a few hallways before we actually find it ! I'm not sure whether it is because it's hard to find, or whether we've had too much to drink and would have trouble finding anything without help !
As others have said.. it is not required. There are resort themes and cancuncare theme... you will find the TTR themes on their site and usually not a lot of people particapate in them other than Lingerie night its always a hit and yes you miust dress for that one to get in.. you will fine the CCC themes on this site and if someone is organizing for your month you can kind of tell by watching the thread if there is going to be good or not so good participation.. if there is one theme that you might enjoy doing.. just do it, reguardless of anyone one else doing it.. its fun and a great way to meet others that are there the same time..but no.. also not required to party..
There's never a dress code at PatyO's. Sometimes you can get away with hardly being dressed at all! The only dress codes that I can recall are: tops required and no wet swimsuits in the restaurants (buffet included, so bring something to the pool to wear to lunch), pants and closed-toes shoes for men in the reservations-required restaurants, and you must be in Lingerie to get in to Lingerie night in Nice Shoes. Also, not sure if it's code or just what everybody does, but women don't generally go topless around the resort other than at the pool and beach (OK, and for varying lengths of time depending on security sometimes at PatyO's.) Look forward to meeting you guys in a few weeks!
Thanks everyone so far for the input that helps a bunch!!! Look forward to seein some of you as we arrive Feb. 17!!!
Aside from white night and Lingerie night - the themes have extremely low participation. So few people who are at the resort read this forum - You might have 10-20 couples pull off a theme, the other 200 couples at Paty'O's are dressed regular.
