Getting ready to book a trip for March and was browsing around checking prices. As usual, Alpharooms had the best price. But I noticed Temptations was listed in Redweek, where people sell/rent their timeshares. The price listed was $238 for a week. This seems much too low to be the full price. Has anybody rented a timeshare at Temptations before. Does the price you pay get you the same things that you would get with a normal reservation? Rgds
$238 will be for the room only. You'll have to pay the AI on top of that - not sure what it is in March (someone else will know) but I'd take a guess at $90 pp bringing the total cost for two to around $1500. Not such a deal now at $215 per night You said you saw a price at Alpharooms, are you sure? I just looked and couldnt find it. Also thought the hotel had severed their relationship with Alpharooms. I'd be interested to know if they are selling the hotel again, as I say, I couldnt find it myself.
I figured there would be an AI fee on top of the rental. Brings the price above what I can get on Alpharooms. I recall the fuss a few years ago when Temptations severed their relationship with Alpharooms, but all seems to be forgiven now. I just rechecked to make sure. If you do a hotel search for Cancun it comes back with 5 pages of hotels. Temptations is listed around the middle of page 4, just below ME. Rgds
They are indeed back. I searched for random dates in July and they're not there but for closer dates they are. The week in March I picked came out at $1255 which is about as cheap as it gets. If you wouldn't mind, please could you use my link if you're going to book with them? It doesn't cost you a cent more but I get a small percentage as referrer. Temptation Resort and Spa Hotel with Alpharooms
Steve, do you know the difference between all-inclusive and hot buffet all-inclusive? I will use your link, if we can find dates that work. I checked for the 2nd week of February and they did not list TTR. We have never waited this ling to book. Either TTR or the Golden Parnassus. If TTR would not require dinner reservations, it would win without any conversation. We will use your link for either place!
I would guess 'hot buffet' means no access to specialty restaurants. That said I have never heard of there being two levels of All Inclusive at TTR - everyone has the same options, and with a red bracelet for all (unless you're a member) I dont see how they would know the difference. Where did you see this reference? It's a first on me. I just checked the alpahrooms site and I cant find Temptation at all again. I think I'll email them after the holidays and try to find out the scoop. Thanks for using my links
checked for may on aplha rooms and didnt show for May either. :typing: on the other note, yes the AI fee is on top of the timeshare rentals. thats the kind that we own. last year the fees were $80 pp per day. you dont have to pay for the day u get there if you arrive late in the day or the day you leave.
I emailed Premier for May AI rate. $111.00 per person per day!!! That AI includes "room accommodations" WTF! That's what my contract was supposed to cover and now they expect me to pay for it again??? They sure make life difficult.. I'vve asked for clarification with absolutely no response, suprised? Jim
Steve, I found our week on Skoosh in March for US $1,024 for 2 people, AI fees included. Can this be real? What hidden fees are we missing?
