My advice is to go ahead and book. Nothing is definite until it happens, it seems, but the latest talk is that the hotel will stay open during renovations - whenever they do start. Plus, it appears a large group of non-regulars are coming in on the 12th. So, if you want something mid-month, you had best book early.
