We will likely be at TTR for our second trip during the first week of Feb. Three years ago we did 5 days at TTR followed by 2 days at the Hyatt Zilara to recover and relax before heading home to Halifax. We found it to be a great way to go. Have any of you done the same thing? If so what adult only resorts would you recommend in Cancun or Mayan. Thx
We have done 7 days at TTR then head off to a tiny family run hotel in PdelC for three nights , it has 7 rooms and is absolutely gorgeous . Great place to unwind and relax and get some liver recovery before going home . Its not adults only or anything like that but its just a great place to go after the party party at TRR .
That sounds like a great idea but I think we will be more in the mood for an all adult only all inclusive type situation. This place s our one week alone together and can’t run the risk of experiencing a crying baby at dinner. Lol
Recover? I didn’t want to leave!!! If I had more vacation days, I certainly wouldn’t spend it at some fluff hotel in Cancun... I would be dancing and tanning my tits at TTR!!! Vacation is about getting away from the day-to-day and enjoying life. Grabbing life by the balls, being adventurous, and experiencing things that make memories. I don’t remember any time I spent in some fluff hotel just relaxing. However, I remember every crazy theme night, all the fun peeps, and at least half of every Boobs Cruise!
The last time we where at TTR we did a week at the resort and then spent another week touring all around the Yucatan. We loved doing the full week there but there is so much to see. We rented a car and booked a couple of other hotels one a B and B down by Belize.
Your trip three years ago sounds pretty much what we just did. In september we spent 13 days at TTR and then three nights at Hyatt Zilara. Needless to say after 13 incredibly fun days at TTR having the music and pool/evening fun still in our heads that after the first minutes at Zilara we kinda went into an uncomfortable withdraw and entered the real world. Don't get me wrong the Zilara is a beautiful property withe great food and staff, but the first thing we saw was woman were wearing their bikini tops (weird eh?) and the energy level was down to 10%! It was then that we started planning our second trip top TTR for the first week of February. For us a "cool down" period will come soon enough after any time spent at TTR, so yes stretch out the valuable vacation time to make fun memories and friends.
