The news is in the printed paper but not the online version. Will probably show up tomorrow. I haven't seen it yet (it's raining, not running for a paper lol!) but have heard that a very drunk young man died at the Oasis Cancun. Mixed reports "on the street", either he drowned or he fell and hit his head, not sure. Soooooo, there's your rumor mill post, sorry it's nothing official!

    Oasis Cancun drowning

I witnessed most of the ordeal on January 7, 2007. People began yelling for help from across the pool but nobody moved so I jumped in and swam across. The man was foaming red at the mouth. Most people thought it was blood from a head injury but it was either from alcohol poising or vomiting. When I got to him i tilted his head back and heard gargling, so he was still breathing. The only thing we could do was put him on his side so he wouldn't choke and hope that a tube would arrive soon so we could try to flush out the water in his lungs. He obviously drowned. Travellers were tending to the victim even when the staff of the hotel were present. When the paramedics arrived they didn't take control of the situation as far as alot of people are conerned. If this were to happen in Canada or the States the paramedics would shove everyone aside. The whole situation was handled poorly. No adequate trained staff and no lifeguards are present on the resort even though underagers and young adults are drinking massive quantities of alcohol while swimming. I am writing this in hopes that people will know the truth and be able to give me some information about the victim. If any one has his name please email me at CONTACT POSTER BY EMAIL ICON OR PRIVATE MESSAGE ICON BELOW Thank you

i don't care about the email info. I need people to respond to me easily. Anyways, people found him submerged in the pool. Nobody knows how he got there.
