Hey everyone, Just wondering if anyone out there is an RCI weeks member. I would like some first hand info as to what benefits there are to using my exchange here? What rooms do RCI weeks members get? Do RCI members have access to all the areas that are for Premiere members, Like the new Premire area? Tht kind of info would be awsome
Hey do a little searching through these forums and be patient. There are RCI members here but in the same breath there has been lots of criticism of the timeshare part of the resort too. Try the pm or email a member feature here as the peeps on the other side likely have your answers.
I can't speak to which rooms the rci members get but I don't believe they get the premier membership benefits. As I have said before I believe the program has been improved dramatically. But they are still paying the price for years of mistakes. Ps we didn't go to the premier area once as it was unnecessary. We would have however if there were no chairs
Thanx, all. We are wanting to book a trip for a group of 3 or 4 cpls and my parents have over 15 wks they can exchange and are willing to let us all use. We have always been happy with RCI on regular vacations, but never used them with AI. Just trying to figure out if its even worth it.
it depends on what the RCI daily cost for the AI is. figure you can get rooms for anywhere from $160-180 a night per couple AI online. Then factor in the cost of RCI transfer fees and the AI and see if its worth it.
I will say that the RCI rates of people I knew weren't worth giving up the week. You really need to look at alpharooms.com and applevacations.com and funjet.com to see their prices per night before you book.
Thanks to everyone for their help and input. I have always trveled abroad via a Travel Agent. That way I always knew exactly what I was paying for, and had someone to yell at if I got a raw deal. With Travel Agents basically extinct now, I never realized how much due diligence I have to do now.
We’re RCI members and it wasn’t worth giving up the points only to pay for the daily food and booze charge! It was actually cheaper just to book it yourself. We used Bookit.com and got a really good deal. You should find good deals were ever you go but remember, they change on a daily basis!
