Anyone booked through RCI? If you are a member already and book through RCI, do you still get your benefits even if you didn't book through the resort?
If you are a member you can book on other sites and still get member benefits. Before or when you arrive you have to let them know you are a member and you booked through another source. We have never booked TTR through RCI. Not sure why you would book through RCI if you are a member. It's a lot easier to just book direct with the resort.
I have leftover points from another RCI trip and saw Temptation on there and the points trade for a week is really low. So it'd cost basically nothing except the all inclusive fees. So I was curious about it
The all inclusive fees are the same as they are charging you as a member. All you would save is the nights you bought as a member. Unless you will use up all the nights in your members contract it would be a waste of your RCI points.
I think it'd work just as said above, you'd do the booking using your RCI points in the usual way, then when you got your confirmation of the stay, you'd simply get in touch with the premier desk prior to or when you arrive, let them know you're a Member, they look you up, and Wallah...
