So we found out yesterday my wife is pregnant. We are also booked to go to TTR in mid May. During this time she would be roughly 3 months along. She told me too keep the trip booked and she will enjoy the suite and such. Kinda feel like a ass if we go down and I party while she just sits there! Any suggestions?
There were a lot of good points raised in this thread. http://www.cancuncare.com/forum/temptation-resort-cancun/18012-what-would-you-do.html Congratulations and hope you both have a great time!
Go have fun but may i suggest you take it easy a few nights n spend quality romantic time w your wife. Maybe a spa treatment she could enjoy since she can't drink?
Suggest away! It's our first kid so not completely sure what too expect. So a surprise spa visit would be nice. Figure instead of partying the whole time we take a tour and go shopping. Who knows maybe we will find another pregnant couple.
You should def. still go and enjoy it because it will most likely be your last vacation together without kids. At 3 months and on first child she will barely be showing so it will still be easy for her to get around. Have you been to Temptation before? there is still tons of stuff to do, all the evening entertainment, paddle boats, horse shoes just to name a few. I like the idea of the spa someone suggested. Also take a day and do some shopping in town, nothing makes a woman happier than a day of shopping You'll have fun, enjoy it!
If the spa is heated it is not good for a pregant women. May I suggest some quiet romatic time in the quiet pool tubs.....not hot. Or maybe dinner on the beach. Go and enjoy the trip as since the kids are coming along it will get harder to go away.
Wow. You are basically in the same situation we were this past month. Except I couldn't get my money back on the trip. Can you get your money back? If you can't then I go temptations but if you can I would make the switch. Read our thread linked above for more details but I am VERY happy that I took my wife on a more relaxing pro pregnancy vacation vs temptations. Don't get me wrong. I love temptations and it would definitely be my first choice if it wasn't for the pregnancy. Instead we went to a peaceful non all inclusive beach resort which allowed for my wife to do the spa thing, eat the food of her choice at a variety of restaurants and not be the only sober person around a bunch of drinkers. At three months your wife may not be showing a lot but she definitely will be showing and may even have some physical discomforts. I say take her some place peaceful where you can also go off resort to explore sites and nice restaurants. I know the counter argument is what about the quiet pool and temptations has nice restaurants. But your still in that sexy party atmosphere which contradicts what appeals to most pregnant women. Just my .02 cents based on my experience this past month. Highly recommend where we went garzablancaresort.com. There are 60% off deals on many travel sites.
