I've already heard about the infamous channel 12 (I think that's it), but I'm sitting here and a thought came across...are the other channels in English?? Is there an ESPN or a local news channel, blah, blah, blah... I know you're going to say, "You're in Cancun, who needs tv???", but I just want to know what to expect. Thanks all!
The channels changes some from year to year, but they have always had Fox News and another channel about like that. ESPN Deportes and ESPN Dos, plus another sports channel, although I cannot take much soccer. Some CBS and/or Fox from Miami I believe. Basically channel 12 & channel 14:fish:
One of my favourite moments from April's trip was the young guy who had just arrived and turned on the TV in his room. He leaned over the balcony to shout to his friends at the quiet pool bar "Channel 12 is AWESOME! There's a girl licking another girl's ass!"
Our tv pretty much stayed on channel 12 except on Sunday when trying to get the Packers score. They have ESPN if you like soccer. They also have fox so I was able to watch a little football until my wife told me to turn it back to channel 12.
Other than channel 12 they also had a TNT movies channel which was good to have when you needed to kill some time.
I have no idea what channels they have, you took the words out of my mouth. You seem like a nice couple. I am sure that you will find something to do at TTR other than watch TV (12/14 not included). I am normally too tired/wore out to flip through channels. I know they have horseshoes, topless women, volleyball, and other games. Just have fun and pay attention to your woman, that’s why you are there. Cal
Im gotta say, Im with zurc on this one, ive been there a dozen times and I always relax and watch a movie on TNT or sportcenter or something , to kill time and rest the liver for an hour or so... there is enough channels to watch a bit of whatever you need, for the short time you will need it..
Good to know, I need my Sportscenter, especially with the Phillies being in the middle of a pennant race.
Espn You'll get your highlights but it'll be in spanish. One day we were there they showed beach soccer all day long. I had never seen that before and it was almost as interesting as watching paint dry. We had to go to Hooters to watch the first weekend of college football one year because those ESPN channels don't show any of that.. Unfortunately it's almost easier to just disconnect for a week. However hard that might be.
