Hey all, First post on this forum. The plan is to visit Temptations Jan 16th-23rd. It looks like there is a heavy chance of rain / t-showers. Other than staying in the hotel room, is there much to do on site at Temptations or Cancun while it is raining? Will the pool area be a ghost town with the cooler weather, rain, etc? Thanks.
Don't worry about rain. It rains somwhere in the area almost every day. Last a half hour and the sun comes out. Enjoy!
When you watch the weather channel down there every day says the same thing for the whole week. Partly cloudy with showers and a temp range of 2 degrees. The reality of that is very few clouds and almost no rain. Get in the pool and drink through it:icon_cool:
Last year it did rain most of one day so we sat in the hot tub at the resort where we were and drank all day, I am sure a lot of people from the states and canada have sat in a hot tub while it was snowing, same deal, a heck of a lotta fun:daveandmo:!
we arrived on the 3rd for two weeks and the weather has been dire . very little sun and striong winds. we are staying at the TTR and they dont seem geared up for bad weather. great place, great hotel but wouldnt recomend anyone coming in jan as its very hit n miss.:ladiesman1::aktion069:
hey there, we are going the same time, and have talked to many people on here that will be there that week as well, and the way it looks, rain or shine, there is lots to do. When do you arrive in Cancun, I assume that you will be flying thru Toronto ?, if so what time do you fly out of Toronto Keith n Lynn
We were at TTR last year Jan 21-28. There was a cold front that moved in and the wind was out of the north. At times it was quite breezy and it coukd give you a chill in the morning or evening. That being said, the sun is still hot and the day time around the sexy pool was pleasant. The water warmed up enough in the afternoon and as long as the sun was out, there were people in the pool and around the pool bar most of the time. Just bring a sweater/sweatshirt/warm-up suit to wear in the evening while you are coming and going from the nite's activities. Remember, there is never a bad time to go to TTR. Larry
The last time we were there it rained for probably 30 minutes, then it was sunny again. From what I understand, it's like that kinda at random.
We were there last year jan.10-17th. The first day there we had sun all day, than the wind and rain came for the rest of the week, that was the second time that has happened to us in january. No more january trips for us.....:icon_sad::icon_sad::icon_sad::lighting1::lighting1::lighting1::sauer005::sauer005:
