We are scheduled to leave on Thursday and the wife is panicking because of the rain. We took out the trip insurance and are debating if we should cancel the trip. Seem rain everyday except Saturday.
Even during the dry season, they call for rain every day for 1 or 2 minutes, you are going in the rainy season so do expect more rain and the odd hurricane,,jk
We were there last Sept and yes it rained, but you cant look at the forecast because it is tropical there so there is rain in the forecast everyday always!! LOL It did rain some last year but we still had a blast and we will be going back for more in 16 days!! So if it were up to me I would not cancel!
There is rain in the forecast more often than not even in july. Unless there is a tropical storm or a hurricane coming, I wouldn't cancel.
The forecast has said rain and thunderstorms every single day for the last 4 months! We have had some rain recently, it has probably rained every day for a week. However, they are isolated showers that usually last 20-30 minutes once or twice a day and do not spoil the whole day. There is a bad weather system about 200 miles south (not a storm or hurricane) and we are getting some spin off from that. It should have passed in a couple of days. You are always going to risk this kind of weather in September and October. I agree with z1world, unless there is a hurricane or tropical storm coming dont cancel or you will miss out on a great time. And if there is one coming I will be the first to let you know here, I check for those suckers daily at this time of year.
I was just reading online and what is going on in cancun and the carib right now is a classic CloudNina effect. It will be cloudy and rainy every day until about October 4th. I suggest you cancel your trip and visit then. Plus it is Octoberbreast then which is the festivus for the rest of us. It cant be missed.
it's a warm rain... if it rains just spend the rain days diving. Drink:beer4::beer4: more tequila and have more sex:liebe039::liebe039:. What the hell you're in Mexico, it's all inclusive and your're not working . It's still a win win win
Could you please post the link for that article? I'd be interested to read it. Not saying it wont happen but at the moment 10:57pm in Cancun there are puffy white clouds covering about 30% of the sky, hardly a breeze. It's not raining and I'm seeing a lot of stars. It did rain once today for about 20 mins, partially cloudy with sunny spells most of the day but still around 90C. I'm not checking Wunderground, Yahoo weather or weather.com. I check it from the garden
