Rain is the forecast Last week of August. What's the plan ?

7 days left until our first TTR trip. We are so excited and mostly packed already. But the weather forecast shows 4 days of rain next week.

If we are stuck in doors anyone with a jaccuzzi suite open to having a party ? What kind of entertainment or games does the resort have for indoors ?

 

Ignore the forecast, enjoy your stay, and if it rains, just drink more! And as long as its not lightning or a major downpour, i'll just be staying in the pool.

 

I think rain is predicted every day in Mexico. The odds of four days - or even one day being washed out are not something I'd be concerned about. Five minutes of rain from a random dark cloud is much more likely than an all day shower. According to Steve's monthly average weather report, August in Cancun averages four days of rain per month...so it's unlikely you'll see four rainy days during your week.

I've gone at this time a few years in a row and i always saw rain in the forecast and it might have rained for 10 minutes if that but we stayed in the pool and enjoyed it

 

it never rains the WHOLE DAY.... probably alittle shower for a few 20 minutes or so... it never stops the party !.. probably makes it even better !... n if you dont find the party in the pool.. im sure the partys in some ones room ! lol

 

Last year my school girl costume turned into a wet tshirt contest shirt. It was fun tho. Just went from getting wet at patty o's to wet in the pool. Never had so much fun in the rain tho. And it was like midnight and lasted 30 min. That was mid sept

 

I'm pretty sure they throw rain in the forecast just so they won't be wrong if it happens. In April the 3rd day on the TV forecast was always bleak and the next day they just moved it lol.

In January we did have a day and a half of rain and it was chilly, caught up on some reading and Paty'o's was still hopping at night so it was pretty good just the same.

 

Ok so the right answer is somewhere in between. There are days where there are complete rain outs. Sorry it does happen. However, it is also accurate that the majority of the time it is just a short shower and you can ignore the forecast which implies rain every day.

Reality for us was typically one rain out per trip, 1 or 2 days with a brief shower and the rest beautiful. On that rain out day you can hang in a jacuzzi, hang at the pool bar (it usually stays open), play pool or games in the sports bar or enjoy a day of private time in your room with your significant other. It's all good.
