Hello all, We visited TTR Jan first week and decided this resort is not for us. Good: - Pool games as most have stated - Employees & service Not so good: - Room noise - 24 hrs, hard to sleep. We were very far in a garden suite, still no luck. - Jacuzzi barely warmer than pool - Jacuzzi closes too early. 6pm or 8pm may be? - Food was barely OK. Mexican was the only decent place. - Night club is outdoor! Everyone was cold and it rained too.
Sorry, you had that experience! We went the first week in January last in 2019 and we didn't have those issues. We only had one 40 minute period of rain all week.
Everyone was cold outside.... what lol. Where are you from haha? I was sweating my balls off outside. nightclub outside is amazing!
While I can understand being cold at night in Cancun in January... being from Houston we're cold anytime we get below 82F... So, we don't go during December-January. April to October = Sweet Spot.
The vibe of the resort has changed a lot, currently there now. Likely this our last trip to this resort for a long time. The entire east side of the pool has reserved all the pool side sun chairs for premier members, but hardly anyone is so they sit empty. So for everyone that isn’t premier you sit either under the speaker system and get your ear drums blasted out or freeze in the shade. Tables sit empty at bash, because if you want the table you have to buy a $150usd bottle of moet to sit there. The bash entertainment has gone vastly down hill. Staff use to come out into the audience and try to get people amped up, not anymore. The costumes use to be more elaborate. The dancing/shows use to be better put together. It seems like they are just going through the motions now, but don’t really care.
@Steve - Do TTR management and/or ownership, monitor CCC like they do FB and TripAdvisor? Do you anticipate they will respond on here directly given the candid and useful feedback from @Sunchasers35 Based on their observations, maybe TTR's customer loyalty business model is 'evolving' to, "if you're not a Premier member now, or willing to sign-up, you should look for another resort". We all know, it's the wonderful loyal, repeat guests and resulting friendships that make TTR so special and memorable. No one wants it to lose its lustre or 'jump the shark' (anyone recall that reference? )
