We have a lot of Premier members here and many have weeks they cant use that they are looking to sell on. Things haven't been helped by the fact Premier require those that buy weeks from others to attend the time share presentation and pay the referrer a commission for anyone who subsequently buys their own package. This has meant an increase in such ads. Old timers will know that years ago we ran the Premiernights system whereby we bought our own Premier package to divide up and sell ourselves. The hotel stopped us doing this after a few years as it became too popular and we were taking up a large percentage of rooms at certain times of the year. Therefore since we are not allowed to do it ourselves and to avoid the forum looking like a classifieds site I'd like to request that folks don't try to sell on their excess weeks here. Please try ebay, craigslist or sites such as Timeshare Users Group - The first and largest online community of timeshare owners providing timeshare resort reviews, timeshare ratings, FREE timeshare advice and FREE Timeshare Classified ads!
No problem, we were intruduced to your site by a group that we met down there this summer amnd they wanted me to do this. Mainly because they couldnt get the availability that they wanted but I could. i have 12 weeks a year and am about to loose 7 of them. I was just asking that they pay the transfer fee and they could have them. Perhaps you could set up a sthread or area for this. Since I posted this on the thread a couple hours ago I have had over 17 emails of people wanting me to book them rooms at desire or Temptations. Sorry about the mixup. Ray
I understand what your saying Steve, but it would be nice to find out how they work. And to be honest I would feel somewhat safer buying or renting a time share from someone on this site as opposed to someone else. this Site has become such a great community and trust is built. for us we don't understand how they work and would love information so that we truely understand how it works and how much money is really required.
We miss those days. Suz and I probably booked a half a dozen of our early trips through you and Johnc. Ahh - the "good ole days".

I have to agree with this. Could you set up a forum with a requirement that a person has to be a member for so long/so many posts (basically build a reputation and certain level of trust) to where people could offer referral weeks or sell weeks they are not going to use. It would need to be where people could not just jump on here and their first and only post be a sale, etc... you see that a lot on public forums already. I would say, we would would have been a lot less likely to do a referral week as we did and become members if it weren't for the great people of this site and getting to know them first.

I put my referral week up on ebay and it got me nowhere... pity to see it wasted... Separate forum would be a great idea. I don't know about others but I'm not looking to make any money of people. Happy enough to receive credit from the resort.
