Where is everyone talking now that this section of the forum is closing? Are the renovations done and the hot tub open? Is the San Lucas building on the non-Barcelo side? Is it the quieter side? I have not arranged transportation as we are planning to just grab a cab. Any advice or suggestions regarding a cab? Price? Does anyone else have trouble getting their husband to dress up for theme nights? We are so excited the resort is going back to the Desire brand. We haven't been since it was changed to Temptation. Activity on this forum and Temptation360 has been very slow due to the Desire change over. Desire Resorts Forums :: Index I read a trip report that said Construction really ramped up Monday the 23rd. I assume everything is done for the re-opening on the 1st. The Barcelo side on the 1st floor is where our room was - we liked the proximity to the Melange bar, our back door area was the Melange bar, proximity to pool, and not having to go up flights of stairs. Our issue was it was the service corridor for all the carts and construction. So it got noisy at 6am - 8am. We paid $22 for both of us to go from Airport to Hotel using TransCabo . Its $35 for a personal cab. Desire is the first stop as its in San Jose and most are going to Cabos. We booked through: Cabo San Lucas Airport Shuttle - Los Cabos, San Jose del Cabo Our driver loaded us and 6 others in a Suburban and we got free bottles of cold water. No real wait and the driver took the toll road, much faster than through town. You will clear Security quickly, so depart from Hotel to Airport 2hrs before flight. They tell you 3hrs - Waste of time! Cabs to airport are $22 or 2200 Peso. Men rarely dress up for the themes, OK - let me rephrase that - very few people dress up for the themes. Maybe it will be different now that its Desire? Tell your hubby to dress to impress, if you are wearing a pretty dress - have him wear nice jeans and a short sleeve collared shirt un tucked. Nothing worse than seeing mis-matched couples where the gals are dressed up and the hubby looks like a slob in his cargo shorts, Affliction T, and gnarly sandals. Enjoy the vacation and report back!
