Hi everyone, my girlfriend and I are thinking of going to Temptation(Cancun) in mid September for my birthday, but we're having a hard time deciding between there and Hedonism II. Anyone ever been to both and could give us some insight? Other Questions..... 1. Do they does Temptation for birthday celebrations? 2. Any theme nights? and how is the participation? 3. What is the night life like (disco/clubs, are they on or off resort)? 4. How do the people compare to Hedo or in general (age, attitude, diversity) Thanks in advance to everyone
I think if you go to Temptation you will find yourself going back every year! I have not been to the other place that you are talking about, however I am making my 4th trip to TTR this Nov/Dec. There are theme nights. If you check out the mid sept roll call here on the site often people set up their own theme nights. The clubs in Cancun are great! but the night life at the resort can be fun also. TTR is a wild party! If you feel like holding off until November you could join our crew!!
Nothing really big for birthdays. If it's the strip show night and you let them know beforehand they might pull you on stage. I think they'll also make you a little cake from on of the specialty restuarants. The two main theme nights are thursday lingerie and friday white night with lingerie night being a must do. The rest we from the boards usually get together and organize it before hand and it's always a good time. The nightlife is what you make of it. I go every year and never leave the resort because of all the great people I'm with but others will go to the clubs every night and the resort will set that up with a ride down there and your pass for all you can drink. I think it runs around $65 or so and you have to cab or bus it back. I've never been to Hedo either but their's been a couple of threads where people compared the two so that might help out. How does Hedonism Jamaica compare to Temptations? Desire. Hedo, or Temptations Which one Hands down I would pick tempations because it's the people that make the trip as much as the resort itself. I'm sure you'll have a good birthday either way but going to TTR will make it one you'll never forget.
Thank you both for the info! From my past trips, I defiantly agree that the nightlife all depends on you! but its good to know that the resort is just as lively as going to a club. Cody that would be wicked if we could join, but we're dead set on going in September haha, but if we dont go, we're defiantly going sometime in 2012 and im guessing you the say haha
Well we are going to temptations sept 9-18th for my birthdaywhich is the 11th. we were there also last year and had such a great time we decided to go back. you should come join us
Hi Punk, I've been to Temptation and Hedo.I enjoyed Hedo but I like Temptation more.(Going back for the 2nd time next week.)Hedo generally has a older crowd. And in Negril,Jamaica there isn't the club scene like in Cancun. There is more to do in Cancun and Temptation;more options.Although I never left the resort.I was having too much fun hanging out at PatyO's meeting people. I hope this helps.
We've been to both- and now we're multi-peaters at TTR. Going again this October for Halloween as well as next April (See April Addicts thread). Anyways, look at the threads that Zurc mentioned and if you have anymore questions, send me a private message. We did have fun at Hedo, but there is nowhere else like Temptations. Which is the main reason this report has so many repeaters.
Thanks ya'll, its really a tough decision which one to go to first but I think I got a good understanding of the difference between the two. Another thing I forgot to ask is about the scenery. I wanted to maybe spend one day and check out some caves, waterfalls/rivers ect. or other attractions (as corny as that sounds haha) does Cancun have any of this and does/can the resort set up any sight seeing excursions?
We went on a trip from the desk at the hotel that was an all day adventure to some mild repelling, zip lining, and a nice dip in a cenote, as well as a trip to the ruins. It was a great time and I would recommend it to anyone that is not experienced in ziplining and repelling and expecting extremes. We had never done either so it was a great eyeopener for beginners. The Cenote was the best part of the day! I cant remember what they called it, but it was the more natural of the two options (one was a "theme park" that offered man-made activities) because it was in the middle of the country side. We even let school kids hitchhike in the van for a ride home from their school!
