Hey all, We are planning on headed to TTR for our 15th anniversary. We have never been and we are looking forward to the trip. A couple of booking questions for you vets if you don't mind helping out. - When is the best time to book for a June trip (how far out do we need to be looking) - Should we book through the TTR website, travel website, agent etc? - What is the best airport to fly into? - What is the best way to go about getting from the airport to the hotel - Should we do the upgraded rooms? - is there anything you recommend to strive for or avoid in regards to rooms? (certain blocks of rooms, floors,) anything else? Thanks all, C & J
- When is the best time to book for a June trip Probably ASAP. June has turned into a really busy time and it looks like a large organized group is attempting a sort-of takeover, as well, for this June - Should we book through the TTR website, travel website, agent etc? Most people go through Orbitz and what-not. Look for package deals. - What is the best airport to fly into? Cancun International (CUN) is where you'll want to fly into. - What is the best way to go about getting from the airport to the hotel USA Transfers by a mile. - Should we do the upgraded rooms? Depends on your preference. We've been in a jacuzzi room all but 2 years. - is there anything you recommend to strive for or avoid in regards to rooms? Again, depends on your preference in regards to view, noise, etc.
It depends where you are coming from. We come from St. Louis. It's a direct flight with Apple vacations or fun jet.We usually book 8 to 10 months before our date. This will be our third time to temptAtions. We have upped our participation each time. You will or should fly into Cancun. As far as transfers... We use the fun jet or apple. You will read about USA Transfers, which seems to be the favourite with most people. Stay on this site and you will learn a lot! :beer4:
We usually book.....wait for a better deal...cancel and rebook.......this year we did it twice.....last year it was 3 or 4 times! The difference hasn't been huge but has allowed us another night or 2. We always seem to get better air deals flying mid week to mid week....
