Hi guys! First post, s be gentle(or not...). We are a youngish(28&30) couple, really excited at the thought of visiting TTR this winter, possibly in January. I have seen Temptations weeks on one or to of the "getaway deal" sites, but am just wondering how the average:flagcanada: goes about booking? What the average price for a week(booked AI style) is? Generally we leave out of Mtl or Ottawa. We are really excited to not only getaway, but t do so with like minded, fun couples/people! Am off to read more of the forum, thanks guys and gals! Ps-happy :flagcanada: day!! Also just wanted to say thanks for the community pics! Nice to get an idea of what it looks like from he travelers perspective!
Hello fellow Canadian! Our first trip was this past Feb and we booked it through Sunwing so everything was included; flights, hotel, shuttle transfers and I think it was near $3500. We are now going again at the end of July and have booked the flights through Westjet and the rooms through Alpharooms and I think we saved near $700. Through the winter months Sunwing or another charter company is probably the way to go for your first time, at least it was for me, for the piece of mind that all would be looked after.
we fly out of TO and booked a Jacuzzi suite this year and it was only 2800 for the both! It was through Nolitours!!
We were there last February for our first trip and just booked our second trip for February 2014 last week. We used a Travel agent both times. We looked around at every travel site there is and in the end the agent was the same price. We used a friend that's an agent but also checked with Marlin Travel and they were getting the same price. The prices currently seem higher for next February than they were at this time last year, but that could change. We just like knowing everything is done. Most recently we found Orbitz to be the cheapest vacation package site. Alpharooms Room prices will never be beat and it seems like everyone here uses them with absolutely no problems. You would just have to book your flight separately.
I did really well booking through Redtag on AirTransat/Nolitours. Can you say which "getaway deal" sites showed Temptations? I haven't seen it featured.
I found most of them have it. Funny thing is though that Nolitours/Transat Holidays doesn't as of December this year. We really liked Air Transat and wanted it again and ended up booking separately so we could fly with them. We called to ask why we couldn't book Temptation as part of a package and they simply said that it won't be part of their package offer as of December 2013 Priceline, Orbitz, Hotwire, Travelocity, Selloffvacations, expedia.....to name a few.
I was wondering if anyone ever saw it someplace like Redtag's Last Minute Deals where the price per night can go below $100 per person for 7 day trips AI. I've been wondering why I haven't seen Transat in December. Thanks for that.
Don't have time for a real response at the money but huge thanks!! Saw one for august at exitnow.ca. Out of mtl under 1000$taxes in. Not sure how often Temptations is on there tho. We may end up paying more just to ensure we secure a spot!
We are living from ottawa we pay 1600 $ taxes in for both of us in end march Now stock i the traffic because of the firework grrr the people drive like turtle 30 kmh on highway!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We booked through a west jet vacations. Leave Victoria BC Dec 28th direct flight to Cancun return Jan 12th. 14 nights AI for 5500 includes taxes and for 2 people. I thought a little high, however it is over New Years and for 14 nights. We booked that 4 weeks ago.
