When we 1st wanted to go to this resort, I was nervous. Thinking it was a swingers resort with single guys trying to hit on your wife. Well, I found this website and everyone reassured me it was not a swingers resort and not to worry about anything. People are just open minded and free spirited. The goal is to have a great time with your top on or off. A big Adult oriented party that doesn't go to far. I look on this forum now and it is all about swinging. So my question is... Is this resort really a swingers resort or am I just naive and don't see it? This will be our 4th trip and we have never seen open swinging or at least I don't think I have. Is my assumption of this resort totally off?
Hope I don't offend anyone or piss anyone off. It is just an obeservation I have noticed on this fourm.
The place is whatever you want it to be. You walk by swingers every day in Walmart and you never know. Temptations is no different.
I'm wondering the same thing, we went in November and never saw or was approached by swingers. I've noticed that recent threads have been all about swinging and the poll on swinging was way off on the % of swingers vs. Non swingers that I thought it would be.
T and I had the same fears on our first trip there - don't stress just go and have fun and don't worry about the swingers - they are not going to force you into an orgy on your first night........

For us, it's not about what kind of resort it is. Truthfully, you can just about find any type at any resort. Before we discovered TTR, (which we refer to as the Dark Ages), we stayed in other Mayan Riviera and Playa del Carmen resorts...trust me - all types are out there! I like Jamie's description from elsewhere on the forum...that Temptation is like spring vacation for adults. We really enjoy the relaxed, sexually charged environment that is at TTR. My wife is so excited shopping for mini dresses and sexy swim suits that she just wouldn't wear on any other vacation. We also really like the fact that this forum enables us to meet many of the people that we will be ultimately vacationing with...have never seen this level of forum interaction with ANY other resort, nor have we ever seen the amount of repeaters (those that come back to the resort again and again) anywhere else. Personally, the poll was not that surprising (though admittedly we didn't think there would be 40%) as there are many people that just don't want to do the full on Hedo/Desires thing...TTR is the natural alternative (and a fair bit more affordable to boot!) Any way, we're not so concerned with what kind of resort it is, as long as people are respectful and not aggressive. No complaints so far! Just our 2 cents...
We booked BBG (now TTR) in 2004 BECAUSE we were told it was a swingers resort. Upon arrival we realised it wasn't what we thought it was. Lynfa & I are swingers and we tell people but that's as far as it goes, if people want to have some fun with us then we wait until they mention it because theres nothing worse than unwanted attention or pressure. Last September we missed out on playing with a very sexy couple indeed because they expected us to ask them because we are open about our swinging but we wanted them to ask as they were new to it all. In a nut shell, if you ask around you'll find something at TTR but if you don't ask then it's just your regular fun resort. We don't go there for the swinging because we can do plenty of that back home, we go there to meet people who aren't going to judge us for what we do and just have a blast. 90% of the people we've met on our 3 trips so far have been non swingers yet we've still had an amazing time. TTR is an experience not to be missed and if swinging is your bag then you may find some very sexy people to play with pmsl xxx
