Can you help with info on garden view rooms ? Are there rooms to avoid with bad location or view ? We would like to know on check in what buildings are the best to ask for, we don't want to get stuck with a parking lot or road view. We would also like something close to all the action but quiet enough to still be able to sleep, unless we just keep drinking till we pass out. Thanks
My personal opinion is I'm not in my room long enough to care at what I see when I look out the window. I like staying near the sexy pool because that is where I spend most of my time. I also like that section because it is quiet in the evenings so if you are having an off day or not feeling well actually get some rest. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
Dynamite is right...you won't be spending much time in your room, and the resort is small enough that everyone's room is about a 1 to 3 minute walk from the Sexy Pool. If you think you may want to be sleeping some nights before 2 AM, avoid rooms around Paty'Os due to the noise of the rest of us partying just outside your room. We tend to get to the resort on arrival day two to three hours before check-in time, so our room most likely isn't ready. At that time, we always ask for a 5000 block room, which we think is a nice spot. Other than sleeping and showering, we don't spend any time there, so don't stress too much.
Agree with Scottydog. 5000 blocks are where we always end up and we've been quite happy with them for the limited time we spend in them. The views from the room usually aren't great but in the room........... :wink3::icon_biggrin:
Thanks for your advice !! the 5000 rooms sound good for us, do you know if the Deluxe Garden View rooms are all located on the main floor which I read on another thread ? we are supposed to have a balcony or patio. We arrive at the airport @ 120 pm Jan,30 - Feb,06 so I guess we should get to the resort by the 3 pm check in time hopefully they still have something left in the 5000 blocks, any other info would be helpful. Thanks
Deluxe Garden View is the basic room at TTR. An Ocean View could technically be a view of the water you can only attain with some good balance and acrobatics as you lean over your balcony wall. I'd never pay extra for that view. The buildings are tiered with some ground floor rooms with a small patio and some up one level with a raised patio and a mini yard above the courtyard...which we've had and kind of liked. We don't mind climbing stairs, so a third floor room kind of gave us a pretty good view for the price of a Garden View. You'll either have a patio or balcony whatever room you get...but some of the patios are really small. I'm sure someone will chime in with pictures...Donald has pics of everything, but he's at the resort right now taking more pictures.
When I'm checking in, I ask which rooms are available. They always give me 3 options and I ask to see them all. They hand me the room cards and off I go. I've done this my last three trips. It avoids getting stuck with a room overlooking the street or worse, where they store the garbage...
