Does anyone know what the cancellation/change policy will be once/if you move your upcoming trip? We are considering between the credit and just moving our entire trip to April 2021. If we move the trip to April 2021, we are curious what the policy will be if we have to make changes/cancel to the trip..... (I know I could email and ask, but I have asked so many questions already, thought maybe someone here might know already....). Thanks!
We booked with Expedia and just make the changes last night. It will be one time change-fee waiver only, for both Flight and Hotel. Therefore after this change, normal fee for changing and cancellation will be applied. So no change fee at all and all you have to pay is any different for air fares and hotel of the new dates. But the tricky part is that the Flight will be airline credit and will not be count as bundle deal credit toward the new booking. In our case, because the flight is cheaper but hotel price is higher so we end up paying another 200 USD and get 200 USD in airline credit.
Ok I have a couple of related questions. We have a tower room during first week of May. Reservation made through Priceline non-refundable. Based on way things are deteriorating, I will be surprised if resort is even open. Kind of hoping it is not so my case for refund would be better. Does anyone know if travel booking companies pay TTR up front at time of booking for rooms (especially for non refundable rates)?. If so maybe I could just deal with TTR going forward, or do I work with Priceline only. I assume if resort is open Priceline will consider my payment nonrefundable if I don't show on prescribed date. Thanks!
I did ask the same question as when I get informed that I would have to pay additional $200. Expedia said it is up to TTR to honor the same price for new reservation or any additional charge occur. Then I have Expedia on hold to go to TTR site and check their direct price for the new reservation. It is way more than $200 so I have Expedia take care of the hotel change as well. With Expedia, my reservation is also Non-Refundable as well so it meant no refund payment for cancellation but credit refund to use for future booking (Flight credit and hotel credit will be separated and for the current selection of airline and hotel only. They cannot be use together to book package deal later on). Right now, most airline and hotels are waiving change/cancellation fee but additional difference in price will be charge.
My wife said she checked the Premier site, members should call and re-schedule or cancel. We too had book the non-refundable package. So fingers crossed it applies. Also they are waiving change fees. A big thank you to TTR for working with everyone during these very unique times. Take care everyone. See you around the pool and swim up bar sometime.
