Long time lurker, first time poster. The wife and I will be doing our first trip in September and was wondering if we exchange one of our weeks in RCI, will we be premier members and will we have to do the TALK. Thanks CP
You get an upgraded room and I think 20% off at the spa if I remember correctly. Also 1 way free transportation from the airport. Other than that you don't have to do the presentation and you don't get the member privileges. Will let you know in a few weeks as we booked again through them as we have points for free flights. As for savings if you are paying for flights you can usually find a package deal cheaper. You wouldn't get the same room but not much time spent in there anyways.
Thanks guys, it looks like if we book it ourselves then we will save money. I just have a week I need to use, but if I am not getting my money worth. I take a quick trip to Hawaii instead. CP
We just checked in today and are RCI members. I asked and got the answer that we ARE NOT premier members. Only people that own timeshares at TTR are Premier. That said, we have a room overlooking the sexy pool and ocean view. It's a great room. We did, however, get booted from the premier section of the sexy pool, outlined by white ropes. We had no idea hat was for premier guests until we got settled. Hope his helps.
Rci We have used RCI 4 times and always get a room overlooking the sexy pool; we have not heard a sales pitch yet.
We only book through RCI and never had the sales pitch, perhaps because we are already owners...Or at least that's what I tell them..
Hi! It looks like CLT answered your question. I would agree; it is my experience as a premier member that the perks do not apply as an rci visitor (different wrist bands). But then again things change over time so if it is important enough between now and (ugh) September, the staff has always responded to my questions via email. Also, "the talk" is optional although never presented that way. If your not interested in spending time learning about what they are offering; just say no! There are some advantages but you will still have an awesome time regardless of a "few" perks.
